The Kogelberg is the recognised heart of the Cape Floristic Region - one of the world's six floral kingdoms.

To conserve the fynbos of the Kogelberg through research, action, and community involvement.

Our vision

A future where the fynbos thrives and is valued by generations to come.

  • Host monthly talks, book launches and field walks open to members and friends.

  • Run regular hacks to clear invasive alien vegetation across the Kogelberg.

  • Support Harold Porter National Botanical Garden through the Friends and Book & Craft Shop.

  • Participate in CREW (Custodians of Rare and Endangered Wildflowers) citizen science.

  • Connect locals with the Kogelberg Garden Circle to grow indigenous gardens at home.
